The Lindsay Unites Group has officially announced the upcoming, third annual LCVI vs. Weldon alumni event takes place on Dec. 27th.

Over the past three years, the Lindsay Unites Group has been operating charity sporting events and has once again announced their support for Jumpstart, a community-based charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in organized sports and recreational activities.

The Lindsay Unites Group is comprised of Weldon and LCVI alumni who are committed to giving back to their community through the spirit of sports.

Due to popular demand, they have expanded the event this year and will be featuring three different alumni games taking place throughout the day. The teams will compete in a best two out of three super series.

The festivities begin with a 1 p.m. basketball game at the IE Weldon gym and then move to the Lindsay Recreation Complex for a double-header of hockey games taking place between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m.

With 20 corporate sponsors and more than 500 people expected to attend, organizers are hoping to reach their fundraising goal of $15,000. The Lindsay Unites Group is encouraging members of the community to come out and support the event. All day passes can be purchased at the door for $15 along with single game tickets for $10.
