BUCKHORN - A Kirkfield woman airlifted to Sunnybrook Trauma Centre Thursday after a

head-on collision between a car and a dump truck will recover from her injuries, Peterborough County OPP said.

OPP Const. Iain McEwan said 49-year-old Lee-Anne McInnis's injuries are non-life threatening and there will likely be no long-term health effects.

County Rd. 23 between Curve Lake Rd. and 17th Smith Line was closed for several hours Thursday after McInnis’s car, travelling north, collided with a southbound dump truck.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation, McEwan said, though officers are looking at the possibility that the collision was caused by a medical condition suffered by McInnis.
