LINDSAY - A 45-year-old Lindsay man faces several charges after police were called to a Sussex St. N home about 4:10 a.m. Saturday when a resident reported hearing someone in their house.

The suspect ran out of the house when the occupant investigated, stated City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service. Police could not locate the suspect.

About an hour and a half later, police were called when a witness reported someone exiting a parked vehicle that did not belong to him. With a description and information on the direction the suspect fled, police set up a perimeter and called in the canine unit.

A man allegedly found with property stolen in several Lindsay thefts was arrested near Lindsay and Russell streets, police said.

David Walker was charged with five counts of prowl by night, three counts each of possession of stolen propery and theft under $5,000 and two counts of break and enter.

The accused was held for a bail hearing in Lindsay court on the same day.
